Willow Creek Pony Club

Willow Creek Pony Club is in the Western Ontario region, with members from various points in Bruce County (Kincardine, Port Elgin, Paisley, Point Clark, Ripley, Tiverton, etc).

As of January 2010, we currently have 13 members, the youngest being 9, and the oldest being 18. We have several new members at the E (entry) level, with the rest ranging from D to D2.

While January is the best time of year to join Pony Club, as most branches' education calendars begin at this time, new members are welcome at any point in the year. Some activities (mounted competition) require a tested level rating to participate, but all branch activities are open to any member at any time.

A few member's parents were Pony Clubbers as kids, so we have a lot of enthusiasm and experienced support backing us up.

The minimum joining age is 6 years old. Pony Club is a great club for any pony or horse crazy kid to learn all about equine care, stable management and horses themselves. Come learn with us!

Much of our unmounted education will take place twice monthly from January through May, with meetings held in various appropriate locations. In the summer months we plan to hold clinics on different topics and mounted practices in different venues. We strongly encourage parental involvement at all levels and are a 'hands-on' kind of club.
